“ Leilani's Cafe is a cute little Hawaiian restaurant, nestled between a few shady trees, that serves deceptively large portions. The staff is so kind and welcoming, you can't help but want to be around the good vibes while you eat. I ordered 'Da Breakfast Quesadilla' and was surprised to find that not only was it packed with spinach, eggs and bacon, but it wasn't greasy at all. I highly recommend you stop by if you want a quick breakfast before the beach or a hearty lunch afterwards. Also, for you early morning coffee drinkers, they have you covered. ”
“ We have now been coming here on nearly a bi-weekly basis for years. I order the Poke and spam musubi. They allow you to substitute so I drop the green salad and sub with their delicious Mac salad. They have a great staff and food is prepared quickly. Parking is challenging, especially on the weekends. No restroom & Limited seating are the only drawbacks. Doesn't stop us though! ”
“ One of my go to spots in PB! Love taking friends from out of town here. Great food and drinks. Very cute outdoor seating area. Friendly and fast considering how busy they always are! ”
“ Great quick Hawaiian breakfast stop with walk up style ordering and outdoor seating. We easily found street parking. Bf got the My Kalani and said "5/5 star with 2 thumbs up." I enjoyed the Sweet Lei with a side of Portuguese Sausage to add some meat - it was one of the best omelettes I've had - fresh mushrooms, tomatoes, and spinach - so juicy and flavorful. Also, for a macadamia nut flavored oat milk latte iced (so good). I personally don't feel like rice and eggs go together, so I wished I had asked for an alternative side to substitute. FYI - No restroom available, so keep that in mind. We went on a holiday Monday morning approx. 9:30a for a reference, when we left at 10, there as a long line forming. ”
“ Love this Hawaiian breakfast combination of French toast, scrambled eggs with rice and Portuguese sausages. So yummy that's all I have to say. You order your food at the counter then you are given a number Afterwards, they bring the food to your table once cooked. This is called a JR boy. Casual place with the island vibe right off Cass St by Pacific Beach. Parking can be a challenge but if you come early, you can find street parking. ”
“ Went Thursday Jan 2 for breakfast. Order at window, find a seat. They will announce drinks for pickup (listen closely, it's quiet) but bring you your food to the table. Food: Keiki bagel: LOTS of peanut butter (almost too much, atleast for my 3 year old). I do appreciate the drizzle of honey on it. Jr. Boy French toast breakfast: basic eggs and rice. Sausage portion is a bit small IMO, French toast w fruit was good... syrup was the showstopper tho! My Kalani: Kalua pork over rice, sausage, eggs and Mac salad. Hubby really enjoyed this. Dragonfruit lemonade: SUGAR!!!! Wow was it sweet. Once it watered down a bit I really enjoyed it... That being said, I am also not a HUGE sweet drink person (don't even usually add sugar to my tea) but this was a good drink! Very much a self service restaurant. The cashier and the waiter that brought us the food were nice enough. Plastic utensils, paper plates. Will we return: probably. But I will get something else.... Maybe the kimchi fried rice. ”
“ Always a classic! Great place to go post-surf if you love Hawaiian food. Their poke is very fresh. I usually don't like mac salad, but theirs is perfection. The loco moco is yummy and i hear good things about their breakfast bagels. The teriyaki chicken is awesome. Kind and laid back staff too. Leilanis is a classic, been coming here for years and they have failed to let me down! ”
“ A great place to go for Hawaiian cuisine! The workers were all very friendly in recommending menu items to us and asking us what kind of food we wanted. My friend and I ordered 4 different items, and each one tasted amazing! Barbecue chicken and beef plate - You can't go wrong with some good old hawaiian barbecue! The chicken and beef were cooked wonderfully, with the perfect amount of char while keeping the moisture. The macaroni salad was a deliciously light contrast to the meat, and the rice was really the frosting on top! JR boy - The french toast was made perfectly, with a slight crunch on the outside, while being soft and fluffy on the inside. Although I wasn't sure it tasted any different from a normal french toast, my friend thought it did. The eggs and sausage on the side provided an extremely well rounded meal! Loco moco - Typically, I'm not a huge fan of loco moco, but this tasted great! I think they could've had slightly more sauce to accompany the rice and beef patty, but it was delicious. I also appreciated the over easy egg that accompanied the meat and rice. Poke - Always love a good Hawaiian poke! The tuna tasted fresh, and the sauce that it was bathed in was not too heavy. The sriracha mayo that accompanied the dish was a great addition for those looking for a slight kick. The poke paired with the fresh salad and rice made for a very complete meal! Lastly, the outdoor seating with the warm San Diego weather really added to the Hawaii feel! I am definitely looking forward to my next visit! ”
“ Huge fan of Leilani's! Good food, good value, and friendly staff! I went twice on my most recent trip to San Diego. We ordered: -loco moco $12 -mango tea refresher $4.50 -haffle $9.75 -acai smoothie $7 -musubi $7 Everything is really great! Seating outside only. Street parking only. I'll be back soon! ”
